By accessing or using the Ready for Housing website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Ready for Housing is the housing network for LA County, a platform connecting government agencies, nonprofits, and caseworkers with shelters, licensed care facilities, and properties available for placement, purchase, or lease. We are not real estate agents. We act as a directory and communication platform between Placement Partners and Property Partners.

Listings on the platform come from two sources: properties listed directly by their owners or representatives ("claimed listings"), and listings compiled by Ready for Housing from publicly available government records, such as LA County service directories and California Department of Social Services licensing data ("imported listings"). Imported listings are unverified until an owner claims them.

Prices, availability, and property information displayed on our platform are subject to change without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing information.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Property Listings

Owners and property representatives who list or claim properties on our platform agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful listing information
• Update listings promptly when information changes
• Only claim properties they own or are authorized to represent
• Comply with all applicable real estate laws and regulations
• Not post discriminatory or misleading content

Imported listings and removal requests. Imported listings display information from public government records only (facility name, address, licensed capacity, and publicly filed contact details). If you own or operate a facility that appears on the platform, you may claim the listing to verify ownership and manage it, or contact us to request a correction or removal. We review removal requests promptly.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from our platform without permission
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the website

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Ready for Housing platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Ready for Housing or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information available on our platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ready for Housing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or housing opportunities.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ready for Housing, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Los Angeles County, California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
